Flora & Fauna

 

Due to Montserrats varying altitude and particular climate, amongst the typical mediterranian pine and holmoak woods we can find yew trees, orchids, rare species of flowers such as 'Jims Shadow' or 'Corona de Reina'(Limestone Saxifrage). There are over 1,250 different species of plants within Montserrat.

 

Amongst the wildlife we commonly see in Montserrat are wild boar, wild goats, squirrels,and falcons.

The mountain is also a habitat to foxes, owls and salamanders.
